This section also introduces the problem and analysis methods using a single machine system. It also presents the power system stabilizer - design and applications and extends the analysis to multi-machine systems. Section Four begins by presenting the SSR phenomenon and methods of analysis and the solutions and counter measures to SSR. The study of transient stability problem by simulation is dealt in Section Five. It also deals with the direct methods of stability analysis using energy functions and discusses various controllers for improving the transient stability of power system. About the Software The floppy disk contains the software SIMSYN (Simulation of Synchronous Generator) and OPSSYN (Operating Point Stability of Synchronous Generator). This program can be run on any IBM compatible PC and MS DOS environment. About the Author
K.R. Padiyar has been a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore since 1987. He was on the Faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur from 1976 to 1987. His research interests are Power System Dynamics and Control, HVDC and Flexible AC Transmission Systems. He has authored the book HVDC Power Transmission Systems.

Agent Hill - quick read this one

James Hunt has written a winner. As a reader of plenty of action/adventure books, I can say that this was one of the more enjoyable I have read in the genre. Part Mack Bolan, part James Bond, and maybe a little John Milton, Hunt's protagonist Sarah Hill is a serious bad ass. I could not put this omnibus down. Do yourself a favor, buy this book. Then be sure to let James know we need more Sarah Hill.

James Hunt did it again with more great action involving Agent Sarah Hill! Let me first say that I consider myself a book snob. I normally don't read book that are less than 200 pages long. But I purchased (?) a copy of Agent Hill: Off The Grid 0 for free because I like the sound of it and I read it soon after I got it. I absolutely loved the book so I bought Agent Hill Omnibus; I could not put this book down until I finished it at 1:00 a.m.!

I hope that James Hunt wrote more novels about this character!

About the Author
Karen Hall, soprano, is a voice teacher, author, editor, and researcher who holds degrees in vocal performance and a doctorate in education from Columbia University, Teachers College. A versatile performer, Dr. Hall has performed in opera, operetta, concert, oratorio, recital, chamber music, and music theatre throughout the United States and Europe. She is a five-time Metropolitan Opera Regional Finalist and has been recognized by the College Music Society, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the Voice Symposium for her research on music theater singing. She also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Singing, the research publication of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Scott McCoy is Professor of Voice and Pedagogy at The Ohio State University and director of the Helen Swank Voice Teaching and Research Lab. Wendy LeBorgne is the voice pathologist, singing voice specialist, and director of the Blaine Block Institute for Voice Analysis and Rehabilitation (Dayton, OH), and The Professional Voice Center of Greater Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH).

Dry and repetitive.

A little disappointed but not all that surprised that this book is long on the why's and what's and short on the how. Vocal pedants are terrified of talking about vocal technique and there is virtually none in this book. What it does have is tons of repetition and and endless discussion twenty different ways of what the musical theatre voice sounds like. I know what a musical theatre voice sounds like. It's hard to believe this book was intended for professionals. The closest she ever gets to discussing technique is giving a list of all the well known people who teach it and what their method is called.
I think I read about the history of music theatre three times in the first half.

Also, none of the register exercises mentioned are actually on the NATS website.

I adore L.A.Fiore’s writing – have enjoyed several books by her now, and so this was an auto request. Its yet another fabulous, gripping read, full of drama, romance and heartbreak and a puzzle that had me wondering who, what and why yet again.
I love the characters of Teagan (Tea) and Kane. Two youngsters who’ve lost their parents and been brought up by an elderly lady and her close staff in the fabulous house Raven’s Peak. We see them right from the start, developing a close friendship that turns to love in their teens. There’s never been anyone else for either, so when Tea goes off to university expecting Kane to join her as planned six months later she’s shocked, heartbroken and devastated when he tells her he’s not coming, he’s fallen in love with someone else!!
She doesn’t want to carry on, descends into despair and only Simon, the friend she met in the early uni days, keeps her afloat. His parents have trouble accepting he’s Gay and Tea provides him with the closeness of family that he misses. They’ve become their own family. Over the years he’s always there for her and he’s a fantastic character. Everyone should have a friend like Simon. Then Mrs Marks, the lady who took her in, is gravely ill and after 9-10 years ( not quite sure which) she returns to Raven’s Peak. Simon goes with her, fortunately, because her life is turned upside down by what she discovers. Her past, all the things she thought, all the grief and anger she had was misplaced.
Its a real puzzle to work out. I hated Kane after his betrayal and just couldn’t see how L.A. would get them back together. Authors do that though, take us down one road and then reveal there was another that we missed. Looking back I can see now the hint of what was to come. I think of these links as Story Seeds, little off the cuff, casual remarks or instances that could be ( and often are ) overlooked yet they’re important, and that turn into major plots over the course of the book. Sometimes I see them – missed it completely this time round though. Its not just one wrong turn though, there’s loads, where I believe what I’m told – like Tea, because it sounds right, feels genuine and then later find out there are other reasons, events, people involved, and I’ve got it all wrong.
Its a fabulous read, one that had me glued from start to finish, trying really hard not to sneak a look at the ending....though as I love to re read books that doesn't actually spoil it for me. I’m currently re reading another 5 star favourite, and this one will join my keepers file for enjoying in the future. Good stories bear re reading, reveal things I missed first time round. The only criticism I have – and its a very minor one – is Mr Sleazy’s role. After all that build up I expected it to be more of a drama, but it seemed to fizzle into an ending that felt a bit of a let down to me. Its a minor point though, and doesn’t take away from the fabulousness of the story.
Stars: Five, fabulous read, brilliant book, great characters and a story that had me ion the edge of tears at times.

An emotional journey that will take love to another level!!

It is often said that eyes are the windows to the soul and in L.A. Fiore's A Glimpse of the Dream, she takes her readers on an emotional, heartbreaking, and touching journey of loss, friendship, love, second chances, forgiveness, and new beginnings. With a whirlwind of raw emotion, Ms. Fiore was able to interweave the journey of Teagan and Kane from childhood to adults. Their journey was a slow building process that blossomed from childhood friends to soul-mates to lovers. In a true heart wrenching fashion, Ms. Fiore gives readers a realistic portrayal of growth. Though Teagan and Kane knew from the depths of their soul that they were indeed soul-mates, they learned that true love is about sometimes letting someone go. And the beauty of this book, was that Ms. Fiore allowed her readers to FEEL the hurt, the anger, resentment, hope and love when Teagan and Kane were reunited after several years apart. So if you want a book that reminds us all that regardless of time and circumstance, true destined love conquers all.

The synopsis pulled me into A Glimpse of a Dream. Any book that takes place in a Gothic Manor goes to the top of my list. It just screams mystery, suspense, and angst. Right from the beginning, I fell in love with not only the setting, but the characters, as well. Each character was flawed and held a secret in some form which held my interest and kept me guessing throughout.

Teagan and Kane’s story is beautifully tragic. The haunting backdrop of Raven’s Peak makes it even more so. In love for years, they go on a journey of love, sadness and redemption that will move you to tears.

This is a perfect summer read for anyone. It will keep you enthralled from the first page until the very end. L.A. Fiore has a new fan in me!

Very simplified book. It doesn't give me much information when I'm trying to find answers. The professor said it was mandatory, but we haven't actually used it. Good thing I rented it because I don't find the information here completely useful considering that my professor offers online sources with much more information.

Charming!

A charming romance! Our heroine is an awkward genius who talks to her fish and spouts great facts about animal sexuality and is kind. Our hero is undercover as nerd...enough said.

The love that grows between these two is genuine. The plot is a bit silly but a nice frame for the romance.

We have a clean romance with only a great make out scene. The fish is awesome. The couple time is grand.

It could use a little updating with the VHS reference but everything else works well. The ending could be a little bit more but all in all a really pleasure fest of a read.

The Reluctant Nerd

The Reluctant Nerd is Simon Prime is hiding his true identity of Sam Pierce a private detective working undercover to protect his retired foster father.

He meets Ernestine St. Bennett, a brilliant scientist but a unique young woman with little social graces outside her lab or talking about her studies. The fun starts when she decided the nerdy Simon Prime needs help with his social and sexual dysfunctions. She starts a study and discusses it daily with her pet fish Waldo.

O'Malley, Sam's foster father and a friend of Ernestine's father is being stalked by someone writing letters seeking revenge from one of his past cases as a police detective before he retired.

Ernestine's study is brilliant and adds a depth of humor to a bungling romance with Simon. It reality they are developing true feelings for each other and this makes the entire romance sweet and amazing that is survives all the misunderstandings. Add the mystery of who is after O'Malley and the threat finally escalated to include Ernestine too.

I found The Reluctant Nerd humorous, romantic, a fun mystery with lots of good dialogue and funny situations and enjoyed it from start to finish.

I received this book free from e discovery for a review. I enjoyed it, but I found the presence a little far fetched. The characters were developed well and the story didn't lag. I will try this author again.

No other car company like this

The inside story of the Morgan car & family. Amazing history of a family's dedication to constantly improving their product yet never losing sight of what they produce. They manage to be "state of the art" and "outdated" at the same time. The book gets a little tedious when it is relating the racing successes of the club racing years, but the early years, the Chris Lawrence years and the Aero 8 development was good reading.

A must for every Morgan enthusiast

This car company has a story to tell and this book pretty much covers it with its chronological timeline starting with the first Morgan car built by H.F.S.. The book includes more on Morgan's racing history than I care to know which is the only reason I did not give it five stars. I especially liked the reference to the "Troubleshooter" in the 1990's.

Great book for any motor enthusiast! I have several books on Morgans but this one has a ton of pictures that really make it stand out from others (also it's the most recent one I've found). It has a year-by-year of the MMC with great info and talks about innovations, racing history, and the future of this great company. Happy reading and happy motoring.

Artificial mathematical examples introduced to show some exotic or unexpected behavior are omitted, except when they are analytically simple and are needed to illustrate mathematical phenomena important for realistic problems. Problems of numerical analysis are not discussed.

This is good; I would compare it to favorably to a rough equivalent, Diccionario Militar Ruso-Español (Spanish Edition), with 424 pages, one of two volumes, which has slightly more detail in what it covers.

Russian-English/English-Russian Military Dictionary: Green Volume is longer, of course, at 700 pages. Diccionario Militar Ruso-Español (Spanish Edition) is about the same length, 424 pages, covering one side- Russian to Spanish- by comparison.
